Work cannot hang over the edges of the shelf at any point.
Bisque work can touch and sometimes be stacked while glaze work cannot. This means the bisque fire and glaze fire costs may differ.
Be sure to confirm with Aliyah that you are not over, or under paying for your fire before checking out.
All fees are final, even if your work happens to not survive the fire or if a glaze does not meet your expectations.
A long preheat is always set for bisque work to ensure all moisture is out of work before firing temperature rises above boiling point.
For glazes not used in our studio, ensure that there is ample space between glaze and the shelf to avoid runs. Please let Aliyah know if you are using a new glaze that could be unpredictable so that we can take the necessary precautions to preserve your work and the shelves.
Any unexpected glaze runs on a shelf will be a $15 charge per damaged shelf.
